Char comparison in JSF EL Expression
As in Java single qoutes delimit a char and double qoutes delimit a String, in xhtml EL expressions both of them are representing a String.

If you use JPA sooner or later you will meet this error message, it was not unfamiliar for me. In this case Hibernate Session has nothing to do with this error.
